Stella Splendens & Locked Within The Crystal Ball

Llibre Vermell de Montserrat

Vou postar aqui dois videos, o de "Stella Splendens" na interpretação de Jordi Savall em La Cappella Reial de Catalunya. "Stella Splendens" é um canto polifónico, com duas partes do Llibre Vermell de Montserrat, um dos mais antigos manuscritos medievais existentes que contem música, essa cançao inspirou nossos menestréis a criarem a linda "Locked Within The Crystal Ball".

O vídeo de "Locked Within The Crystal Ball" é de um concerto do Blackmore's Night em York, na Inglaterra, parte do DVD "A Knight in York".

Curiosity: John Ford was a member of Blackmore's Night from October 1998 until April 1999. "Under A Violet Moon", their second international release, featured him in the beautiful Alan Bell song, "Wind in the Willows" (not its original title - it is actually called "Bread and Fishes" but it was changed the title as well as one verse, removing its original Anglican connotation.).

About Annie's Song

EXAMINER: Can you discuss the enduring appeal of John Denver and how you came to cover “Annie's Song”?

CANDICE NIGHT: My husband and I met in 1989. We got engaged in 1994 but we didn't get married till 2008. Mainly because I knew there was a lot of planning involved and that I would be the one doing it all and we were always recording and touring so it was hard to get it all done. So, when I finally did it mainly by texting on my Blackberry overseas while on tour, the only thing I got overwhelmed by was choosing the wedding song. There were just so many options I had no idea where to start to narrow it down to 1 song for our 1st dance. I asked my husband to choose. And he chose “Annie’s Song.” And I cried because, he is not a lyric guy! But this choice, music and lyrically were just so perfect. So it was our first dance at our wedding and the only moment at that point that I had ever cried happy tears. It holds a very special place in my heart. So when my children were born I started singing it to them as a lullaby. It was just a full of emotion love song between my children and myself that took on a whole new meaning. My daughter’s favorite line is the "sleepy blue ocean.” They now sing it with me at home. It is just a pure beautiful moment provided by an incredibly beautiful song.

Hoje a fábrica mágica dos lyrics video está produtiva!
Segue aqui um lyric video fofinho que eu fiz para a música Sleep Little Baby do album Starlight Starbright da Candice Night.

O álbum Autumn Sky é muito marcante, ele é dedicado a pequena Autumn Esmerelda que nascia no mesmo ano. Existem tantas músicas lindas e sensíveis neste trabalho do Blackmore's Night, a voz da Candice Night alcançava sua melhor textura de voz nesta época, enquanto Ritchie Blackmore recheava as canções com solos mais pesados dos que o de costume em se tratando de Blackmore's Night e colocava mais delicadeza quando as baladas do álbum pedia.

Este é pra mim, um novo divisor de águas dos trabalhos já feitos pelo Blackmore's Night. A banda entrava numa nova fase, com mais riqueza e variedade em detalhes, com mais introspecções e explosões musicais dentro de uma só obra. E assim se manteve até os dias atuais.

Quem ouviu a pequena Autumn cantando ontem?

Autumn Esmerelda Blackmore veio ao mundo rodeada pela música, desde o ventre. Sua mamãe Candice Night enquanto estava grávida gravava as músicas do álbum Autumn Sky (dedicado a pequena).

O talento da pequena não parou por aí, no álbum solo de canções de ninar da Candice Night, Starlight Starbright, Autumn escreveu suas próprias histórias, "Stories to Dream By..." (By Autumn Blackmore) e a música "Lullaby in the Night" foi composta por ela também!

A Candice Night contou: "Eu estava andando pela casa um dia, quando ela tinha 1 ano e meio, e enquanto colocava suas bonequinhas para dormir ela cantava essa linda música que tinha feito para elas a" Lullaby in the Night".
